With the BETS Bream Grand Final looming, I took an opportunity to get out on the water with two of the younger grand final qualifiers Nathan McInnes and James Smith for their final final pre-fish ahead of next weekends event.

Sweet bokeh on that kingfish Ian! What camera setup were you running that day?
Thanks Adam. That was shot on a Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm @11mm f/2.8.
Ian.
Thanks Ian. Just about to upgrade to a D7000 from a D3100 myself and was looking at the Tokina 11-16, can’t justify the Nikkor 14-24. From all accounts the Tokina performs just as good for price comparison compared to the Nikkor anyway.
Thansk again
Adam – 14-24 is an FX lens anyway. It’s a beautiful lens, but won’t be as wide as the 11-16DX on the D7000.
Greg
The other main reason I really didn’t want to go down that path Greg. I honestly do see me going full frame anytime soon so investing in glass like that wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do.
Cheers
Ah, dont*
You wouldn’t regret the glass on the D7000 that’s for sure. I used mine on my 7000 for about 12 months. It’s a sweet lens but you won’t see just how good it is until it’s on an fx camera.
