Well, I was going to call this “fresh meat for the grinder” but I thought they might not get our slightly warped sense of humour here at Lureandfly.com.
Well it’s been a year since we started this site and the four of us wanted to bring a few contributors on board with us and after a few weeks of back and forth between them and myself it’s time to introduce them.
The first needs little introduction as she was probably the inspiration for the idea of new contributors. None other than Vicki Winter Lear. We have already had one article by Vicki which you can see here and an interview which you can read here. Of course you can also read about Vicki and her husband Scott’s BETS grand final win here.
Vicki is a self confessed fish-a-holic and works as a real estate agent to support her habit. Far from being a “one trick pony” she excels at many diverse styles of fishing from land based game fishing to offshore gamefishing as well as kick most guys butts at Bream and Bass fishingThe second is Stewart Dunn who is a talented fisho the Lureandfly.com team has known for a while now. Stewy, as he is better known, is an amazing kayak angler who also spreads himself around hunting different species and while a lot of his success in the tournament scene has been based on his Bream skills he also enjoys chasing Jewfish, Snapper and Kings out of his Pro Angler.Last but certainly not least is Dan Grech, a multiple WORLD CHAMPION!!! (he’s won the Eungella Sooty World Championships a couple of times and I just love the tongue in cheek name of the comp). Dan is an apprentice fitter and turner who lives in Mackay and for such a young guy, already has an impressive list of tournament wins against his name, both Barra and Sooty. Dan will be bringing the tropical flavour to Lureandfly.com with all the Far North Queensland fishing most of us only get to do on holidays. So keep an eye out in the coming weeks for the first articles from our new trio.
