It’s that time of year again – Commencing 2nd August, the Sydney International Boat Show, regarded by some as Australia’s premiere boat show, will kick off at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and Cockle Bay Marina in Darling Harbour for 5 days. There are a heap of activities to keep the whole family entertained, but I know I will looking out for two things in particular. I’ll be using the show to get up close and finally see the new Hobie Pro Angler 12 in the flesh after everything I have read and seen, and also take the opportunity to do some research on a new PFD for my two year old who has all but outgrown his.
For a lot of the lureandfly.com readers, one event, which will likely be of interest, is the BETS (Berkley and Evinrude Team Series) Bream grand final. The live weigh in will be held down by the waters edge on Saturday 4th from 3:00pm and Sunday 5th from 2:00pm with the winners awarded a massive $20,000 prize check on Sunday afternoon. As always, the lureandfly.com crew will be there, capturing all the action and we will have a full gallery on the Monday morning for all those who can’t make it.
