I was like a kid waiting for christmas, Bass season has been upon us for a couple of weeks now and I finally made my first trip for the season. Navigating these creeks can be pretty tough. We sometimes find ourselves in pretty hairy situations so that we can cast at a snag or cross the creek. Often it is easier to walk up the middle of the creek than try and traverse the countryside that shapes it.
This trip we went “Jungle” and my DSLR spent most of its time at our “base camp” because of all the crawling, climbing and jumping we were doing to access the fishable water. Quite often it is hard enough to make it through with just a rod and without losing your hat, Aaron’s favourite rod was evidence of this unforgivable terrain when it become a two piece rod. Some trophy fish were caught with the only evidence etched into the memory of those that were there, I did however manage to snap a few images on the walk in and out.
