1. What’s your name and where are you from?
Darryl Head I grew up in Moruya on the south coast of NSW right near the Deua river but now I live right on the shores of St Georges Basin

2. What part do you play in the fishing community today?
Professional Fishing Guide with Bay and Basin Sportsfishing, also on the committee of the Professional Fishing Instructors and Guides Association (PFIGA)

3. What was it that really got you into fishing and how old were you?
My earliest memory of fishing was on holiday at Blackfellas Point and fishing on Tuross Lake with dad he would bait the hook throw the line in for me and before he had finished baiting his hook I would have landed a fish this went on for some time. I would have been 5 at the time. And the rest is history

4. What is your greatest fishing memory?
Wow I have been very fortunate to have caught many large fish but my greatest fishing memory would have to be fishing with my mate Steven while Steven died from Cystic Fibrous quite a while ago it’s my memories of our many fishing trips together that will never leave me and spurs me on to fish for 2 people now.

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Exactly where I am now fishing for a living and loving it, I know it’s a tough gig but someone has to do it. I would also like to do more Bream tournaments it’s one of the best ways to improve your fishing.

6. What’s top of the “bucket list”?
Barra is at the top but there are heaps more on my list.

7. Who do you look up to in the fishing community?
Every single old bloke out there that has fished all his life, you should pull up a chair and listen to these guys they have been there and done that you can learn a lot from them.
